It might be nice, yes, but I would really need someone for doing that translation since I have little resources for working on this.

Would be happy to provide all the help needed to make the translation. Is there some timeline when this should be done, and well, few pointers what to do would be nice :) I saw that format would be .po, which is just extraction of all text strings from code, is this 'final' solution for making the translations ?

I translated trac 0.9.x long ago, using an unofficial patch which gettextized trac and allowed for alternative (translated) templates.

I can dig up my translation and merge it with the current PO file, and I would be very interested in maintaining up to date officially.
