password reset?

Description

Hi everyone, I am a new user of Trac. unfortuanetly, I forget my password. I could not find a way to reset it. I do not know if it can be recoverable or not, but it is definitely hard to learn from internet. Because every search query including "trac" ends up with someone's trac. If it is not a bug, it is still a defect of the documentation, that I could not find any information also.

Well, I doubt this is related to this web site. You need to contact the web admin of the site you want to log in on, and ask him to reset your password.

No it is not related with this website. I just have my trac installed and forget my admin password :) By the way I also have access to my database but, I could not see anything related with password.

So either you're using tracd and you just need to re-create the htpasswd or the htdigest file (or edit/remove the admin entry) or if you use Apache, it is unrelated to Trac.

Dudes, I cannot BELIEVE you do not have a 'reset my password' link yet. I srsly do not want to bug the dude running the place just because I forgot my password.

Trac core doesn't have a password manager, as it leaves authentication to the web server. So there's no way it could reset the password.

However, th:AccountManagerPlugin has this feature, in the cases where it does manage the passwords.
